Mini Shop

No Dates. No Booking. Still a Sale.

Your booking engine sells room nights. The Mini Shop sells everything else you have.

A shop on your own site for your spa treatments, your tasting menus, your experiences — and for gift cards somebody buys for somebody else. Bought by guests with a reservation, by guests without one, and by people who have never stayed with you. Your gateways, your brand, one back office.

Why It Exists

You Already Sell All of This. Just Not Online.

The spa afternoon. The tasting dinner. The weekend somebody wants to give as a present. The requests arrive — by phone, through the contact form, in an email at eleven at night — and every one is handled by hand: a reply, a price, a payment collected somehow, a note passed to the front desk. None of it is a reservation, so none of it goes through the system that handles reservations. It's the only part of your revenue with no product page, no price a guest can read for themselves, and no way to pay for it at two in the morning.

It earns its keep fastest where you already sell to people without a room — a spa, a restaurant, a service the neighborhood can walk into. If everything you sell requires a key card, a shop will do less for you.

What Goes in the Shop

Everything That Isn't a Room Night.

Categories you name, products you write, prices you decide. In every language your booking engine already speaks.

Experiences and services

Sell the afternoon, not just the room.

Gift cards

Worth more than they cost, if that's the trade you want.

Issue € 300 of booking credit for a € 200 gift card — the gap is what makes paying now worth somebody's while. And it can be sent by email to a person who isn't the buyer.

One product, several versions

50 minutes or 75. Facial or hot stone.

Each product carries its own price variants, and the shop does the arithmetic: it shows the lowest as starting from, and the full price struck through when there's a saving.

Every product gets its own VAT rate and its own sale policy — written once, reused, so a spa afternoon and a gift card don't have to share terms.

Gift Cards & Vouchers

Sold in the Shop. Spent on a Booking.

A gift card platform can take the money. It can't turn it back into a room night. Here a gift card is a product, and what it contains is a voucher — a credit inside the same system that sells your rooms.

  • Issue more credit than you charge for

A gift card sold at € 200 can be issued as € 300 of booking credit — you set the value, and that gap is the reason somebody pays now instead of later. It isn't a discount on a room: it's cash in December against a stay in March, at a cost you chose yourself instead of one a channel set for you.

  • Somebody buys it, somebody else gets it

At checkout the buyer can send it as a gift by email: recipient, sender, and a message of their own. Two confirmations go out — one to the person who paid, one to the person who received it.

  • Redeemed on their own, on a stay worth the same or more

The voucher travels as a code, with a Redeem my voucher button that opens a search for a stay — or they call you, or they write. It comes off the total in whole or in part, and leaves no change to reconcile at the desk.

  • Vouchers you didn't issue, too

Your booking engine also accepts vouchers from third-party platforms integrated via API — a credit bought somewhere else still gets spent with you.

  • And the one nobody plans for: a cancellation

Where cancellation is free, the guest cancels on their own from the Guest Area, pays nothing, and no voucher is involved. Where you've already taken the money, you choose: refund it, or turn it into a voucher for the same amount. One of those two keeps the guest.

  • Direct guests already cancel half as often

13.95% against 27.89% on intermediated channels, across Simple Booking properties in 2025. Fewer cancellations on your own channel — and the ones that do happen don't have to walk out the door.

How It Runs

Open to Anyone. Still Entirely Yours.

  • No reservation required

The shop is open to whoever lands on it: a guest with a booking, a guest without one, someone local who just wants dinner, someone buying a present for a person who has never stayed with you.

  • Not one link — as many storefronts as you have pages

Every category and every product has its own link, so a Gifts page sends people straight to the gift cards and a spa page straight to the treatments.

  • Your products, your terms, your words

Categories, products, price variants and sale policies are yours to write, in every language your booking engine speaks, with no ticket to open and nobody to wait for.

  • A checkout that doesn't ask much

Google or Facebook, or just an email address. Payment runs on the gateways you already use, on PCI DSS infrastructure — no second merchant account, no second provider to reconcile.

  • Your site, your brand

Responsive, and styled to match the website it sits on — because it isn't a storefront somewhere else, it's a part of yours.

  • Sales land where reservations land

Orders show up in the same back office you already open every morning: who bought, in what language, for which property, and the voucher code if the product issued one.
